Here at Orchard Trail Kennel

Here at Orchard Trail Kennel we breed Bernedoodles from AKC registered Bernese Mountain Dogs (BMD) and AKC registered Standard Parti Poodles.

The Bernedoodles are a cross breed (hybrid) dog and have attributes of both the BMD and Poodle.  They are both very loving dogs and require little care. The poodle breed offsets some of the shedding of the BMD and the BMD minimizes the need for constant grooming in a poodle.  They are very loving, affectionate dogs and we breed them as FAMILY PETS.  They do require daily exercise and should have all their vaccinations at the appropriate times.

We also have completed DNA testing which includes the following: Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), Degenerative Myelopathy (BMD Type), Von Willebrand Disease I, and Chondrodystrophy (CDDY and IVDD Risk) with or without (CDPA). Our OFA testing includes hips, elbows, eyes, cardiac and thyroid.
